While most Malbecs are made in the modern Argentinian style, we’ve taken ours back to classic, old-world Bordeaux methods. We felt it was the best way to do justice to the amazing fruit we discovered in this tiny 1.5-acre low-yield vineyard on classic Napa soil. The alluring result begins with a rich nose of cassis, plums, blackberry, black pepper, soy, and caramel, with hints of vanilla, grilled steak, and tobacco spices. It opens on the palate with complex flavors of cassis, blackberry, oak spices, a firm backbone and a long finish.
