Lip-smacking cherry goodness! 2018 Smith Story Helluva Vineyard, Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley is our fifth vintage of this best-selling wine! Under another star-filled sky, we picked in the cool of the night on September 14, 2018. The vintage was near perfect, the grapes (pommard clone) were hand picked, hand sorted then de-stemmed for a cool and slow fermentation. ALC. 14% The aromatics are seductive much like first spring season blooms mixed with the first deep-breath of the mountains on a late sun-filled afternoon. The Helluva Vineyard continues to be a crowd-favorite as a lighter rose-petal and brighter style red wine, however the 2018 structure due to a little more bottle aging than previous years is going to make you fall in love with this pinot noir all over again. The entire wine is full of red cherry luscious notes that are exceptionally well integrated this year with the signature "Anderson Valley" spice found among the valley's Pinot Noir.
